FlexiNail Frequently Asked Questions

If you spend a couple of minutes reading through the following topics you will be better able to decide if FlexiNail is right for you. We will try to keep answers short.

What will FlexiNail do for me?

If you have natural nails but have trouble keeping them looking nice then FlexiNail will help. Whether your nails are dry, brittle, cracking or peeling – FlexiNail will condition your nails and help keep them in great looking shape.

What is FlexiNail?

FlexiNail is a fingernail conditioner unlike anything you have tried before. It is NOT a chemical nail hardener and has NO formaldehyde and NO toluene. A dried out hard nail is NOT what you want. You would like your nails to have the correct moisture content and to actually have some “FLEX”. The first time you hit a nail and it bends and does NOT break you will better understand what we mean by flexible nails. FlexiNail does NOT involve applying fake nails. It is a penetrating nail conditioner that will help your nails maintain a natural protective coating.

What’s Different About FlexiNail?

For a nail conditioner to show long term results, it needs to penetrate the nail’s protective coating. Most conditioning oils don’t penetrate – they just sit on top of the nail. Many products also advertise “vitamins” – but in many cases this “vitamin” or antioxidant is one of the ingredients used to simply stop the oil in the product from going rancid and it sounds fancy like you are giving your nails some magic vitamin they need. For a conditioner to be effective though – it has to help and augment the nail’s own protection system.

The nail is made of packed layers of cells (alpha keratin) and very different in composition from the skin. So what will penetrate easily into the skin or hair will not necessarily help the nail. So applying creams or oils that aren’t designed to penetrate the compacted nail plate will not be effective. FlexiNail has a unique and precise formulation designed to do what most other nail products just can’t do. This is why our customers rave about FlexiNail.

Is Shipping Free?

Yes! All orders over $35 before taxes ship to Canadian Provinces free.

How do I apply FlexiNail?

It takes about 20 seconds to apply. You brush on a really quick application. You don’t need to be careful applying it and if you get some on the cuticle it is NOT a problem. After you apply it please let it sit on your nails for several minutes or longer. If you are applying it before reading or watching TV – then let it sit on your nail for a full half hour or more.

Do I have to remove FlexiNail before applying it the next day?

FlexiNail will not harden or dry on the nail. Some will penetrate your nail but when you want them completely dry you simply rub in any excess with you thumb or take a tissue and wipe away any that remains. There is no need to TRY to wash off FlexiNail or remove anything. At some point you will obviously wash your hands or shower etc – but don’t purposely wash it off.

Is FlexiNail right for me?

If you expect instant results then please do NOT purchase FlexiNail. Using FlexiNail is initially a process of getting your nails into great shape and then maintaining them with minimal time and effort after that. If your nails are in rough shape – then this INITIAL period to get them looking great could take 8 or 12 weeks (or longer if you have badly splitting or peeling nails or have a medical condition such as thyroid issues). Once you get your nail in better shape though – it is a simple and easy routine to keep them looking great. IF you want INSTANT results then you need to buy a formaldehyde based nail hardener or go back to the expense of maintaining fake nails.

My nails are awful. Once FlexiNail fixes them do I keep using FlexiNail?

If your nails are in awful shape because of a one time event like removing fake nails – then once you get them back into shape with FlexiNail you could stop applying it. For many other people, your nails are brittle, cracking or peeling because of environmental factors such as: frequent use of nail polish and acetone polish remover; a cold dry or hot dry environment; frequent use of hand sanitizer; excessive exposure to water (long baths, dishes, hand washing, swimming) or just other events that are hard on your nails.

If issues like this have caused your nail problems then FlexiNail will help break that cycle. The problem is that once you are happy with the shape your nails are in – those SAME conditions will eventually start drying out your nails again. Many of our customers after breaking the initial cycle and getting their nails in shape just try to apply it daily or a few times a week to help keep them looking great.

Can I use polish or a clear coat with FlexiNail?

When STARTING out with FlexiNail we really hope that you will use nothing at all on your nails for the first couple of months. This will help break the cycle of your damaged nails and get them in good shape much faster. AFTER your nails are in great shape and you want to show them off – then by all means use a good quality “10 free” polish like FlexiNail’s MicroPore Nail Polish and a Non-Acetone polish remover like FlexiNail’s Soy Based Remover. Make changes to your nail routine slowly at first and see how your nails respond. It is also important to NOT make frequent nail polish changes. When you take the polish off please try and go several days or longer without reapplying any polish. During these break days try to apply FlexiNail once or even twice a day.

Remember that acetone is awful for your nails. Yes, it takes the polish off pretty easily but it also strips all the protective coating out of your nails as well. Even if you are using a less harsh soy based nail polish remover like FlexiNail’s Acetone Free Soy Based Polish Remover it is still important to make less frequent nail polish changes and to take these breaks between.

Where will my purchases be shipped from?

All FlexiNail Canada orders are shipped from Ontario with full package tracking via a courier service such as UPS, Purolator, FedEx or Canada Post Expedited Parcel depending on the destination address.

Will FlexiNail help with the ridges in my nails?

Nail ridges have an important distinction… if they run in the direction that your nails grows (from the half moon area to the end of the nail) then these are normal ridges that almost everyone has and FlexiNail will help in a secondary way with these. These ridges can get much more noticeable as we age or if our nails are in a dried out state. FlexiNail will help your nail get back to a better “moisture” level and therefore these ridges become much less noticeable and less likely to crack at these points as well. IF your ridges run across your nail (from baby finger to thumb) then you should consider having a health professional look at these as they could be an indication of certain health conditions.

This seems expensive for a nail product?

The first thing to understand is that an order of FlexiNail will last you for SEVERAL MONTHS. The next thing to know is that it actually works. Third, if you want a product that isn’t made in China it does cost a little bit more. Yes, you could also easily go buy a cheaper nail conditioner that claims to have Vitamin XYX in it – but when you spend a couple months finding out that it doesn’t work then all that time and money was just wasted. Instead, read some testimonials about FlexiNail and know that it works. If you are patient and use it daily you will get the strong, attractive nails that you want. Maybe you are currently using some form of artificial nail and would like to go natural. If you are then we don’t have to tell you about the high costs and time required to go every two or three weeks to the salon to maintain them.

Is FlexiNail a member of The Better Business Bureau?

Yes, we are accredited with The Better Business Bureau.

Is FlexiNail sold as a recurring purchase program?

NO. There is no auto ship. When you want to re-purchase you will have to come back to the website and make a new purchase. We do not store your credit card information when you make a purchase on this site.
